Juanjo Lopez is a real and authentic artist. He always has been creating art and forever will.
In ancient Greece, Aphrodite (Venus in the Roman equivalent) was the goddess of love and beauty. She was very popular and there were different cults and temples where she was worshipped with devotion.
Her importance was such that she is even recognized as one of the twelve gods of Olympus!
Did you know that today in our culture there are still references to Aphrodite or Venus? For example, from her name are derived meanings, such as the word "aphrodisiac", and from her name in ancient Roman (Venere) come "venerate" (to honor / worship).
And did you also know that this symbol ♀ standing for femininity is called "Venus symbol"?
With this NFT collection we pay tribute to love and female beauty by creating a wide collection of artworks inspired by pop art, surrealism and contemporary art, carving our aesthetic version of her sculptural representation into the blockchain.
As our identities transverse more and more into digital worlds, there will be a MetaMe of everyone of us. VenusMe is the representation of that specific part of us honoring female beauty and respects womens rights. Who knows how future me and future you will want to express this part of our identity?
Maybe by proudly exposing one of the first NFTs that stand for these values. An NFT from a time, when mainstream had not yet discovered the real value of art on blockchain...
This project is dedicated to organizations around the world fighting for women’s rights. Thanks to The Giving Block’s “Crypto for Women’s Rights Campaign” each of the 151 charities will profit equally from 95% of all our earnings.
